Welcome to Biomedical Terminology, Summer of 2014 Course.

BIOMI 1720 2

Want to learn about biomedical terminology this summer?

You’re in the right place!

This course, taught by Dr. Dwight Bowman and Dr. Hanna Roisman, will focus on the Greek and Latin word elements that combine to form most of the specialized terms in the biological sciences. The student who learns the meanings of those elements and the rules of word formation can usually recognize the basic meaning of any unfamiliar word in that field. This skill is especially valuable for pre-law, pre-medical, pre-dental, pre-veterinary students, and for those in other health science and legal fields, as well as for students who would like to broaden their general vocabulary. Provides excellent preparation for students prior to taking standardized tests: e.g., SAT, GRE, MCAT, TOEFL, LSAT, etc.

It is a 3 credit, 6-week class that will run from June 23- August 5, 2014. The class will meet Monday-Friday from 1:15 PM – 2:30 PM.

See the Summer Session website for more details.
